Aarin Yu

Aarin is the Founder of Heritage Financial Partners. He is instrumental when it comes to our clients’ capital markets, M&A, due diligence, valuation, and strategic expansion assignments, having been involved on nearly every client engagement. In addition, Aarin is responsible for Heritage’s network of capital partners, having cultivated hundreds of relationships with private equity firms, mezzanine funds, and family offices.  Aarin has spent his entire career in principal investing and investment banking.  He has advised growth and middle market companies on a variety of complex financial transactions including sellsides, acquisitions, financing, recaps, and capital raises. During his career, he has evaluated hundreds of investments, both in the public and private space, performing deep research and diligence on companies spanning almost every sector.  Aarin holds his Series 79, 63, and 65 licenses.

Prior to founding Heritage, Aarin was at Karlin Asset Management, a $1.7 billion investment fund based in Los Angeles. He was responsible for conducting bottoms-up research on small and mid-cap companies for the fund’s public equities portfolio. Before Karlin Asset Management, Aarin was in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group of Oppenheimer-CIBC World Markets, where he assisted on over $2 billion in closed transactions.

Aarin graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and International Studies. He enjoys traveling and playing sports in his spare time. He is a snowboarding enthusiast and can be found on the slopes during the winter months.

Erick Leinenweber

Erick is a Senior Associate at Heritage Financial Partners. He advises Heritage’s clients through an array of capital market solutions including M&A, due diligence, capital raises, and transaction services. In addition, Erick is responsible for many of the firm’s business development activities. Erick’s prior experience with lower middle market companies provides him a unique perspective on how to overcome many of the growth challenges faced by Heritage’s clients.

Prior to working Heritage, Erick was at Plethora Businesses, a leading M&A firm specializing in mergers, acquisitions and appraisals. Before that, Erick was with Stepstone Group, a private equity firm overseeing $130 billion of private capital allocations and Oaktree Capital Management, a publicly-traded $122 billion asset management firm based in Los Angeles.

Erick graduated from the University of San Diego with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Administration and is currently completing his MBA at USC Marshall Business School. In his free time Erick enjoys tennis, rock-climbing, and water activities.

Andrew Tumilowicz

In addition to providing valuable counsel, Andrew significantly expands Heritage’s reach and network of capital partners.  He has worked extensively with institutional investors ranging from large private equity funds with $10 billion AUM to lower middle market funds and single family offices. With relationships from 140+ private family investors and 200+ fund managers, he is able to dispense unique market insight from principal investors across sveral asset sectors.  Andrew has deployed and managed $5.5 billion of real estate capital across both performing and distressed positions in equity portfolios, debt portfolios, and securitization platforms.

Having directly operated both small and large scale real estate positions Andrew provides invaluable operational insight paired with sophisticated financial acumen. After spending 12 years managing a real estate portfolio for a private developer in the New York Region, Andrew joined XE Capital Management, a multi-strategy alternative investment fund with $1 billion in AUM.

Mr. Tumilowicz holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Economics from Cornell University, and lives on the eastern end of Long Island with his family.
